Wood Badge Ceremony Invitation

Dear Scouts and Scouters,

I am excited to share a very special moment in my Scouting journey. On Tuesday, May 20th from 6pm-8pm I will be receiving my Wood Badge Beads during T139’s Court of Honor. This is a significant milestone in my leadership training within the Scouting program, and I would love for you to join me in celebrating this achievement.

For those who may not be familiar, the Wood Badge ceremony marks the completion of an advanced leadership training for adult Scouters. It is the adult version of NYLT and is a journey that deepens our understanding of Scouting’s values and helps us become better leaders. The beads are part of the Wood Badge tradition, which originated at Gilwell Park, the location of the first Scout leader training course in 1919. The beads represent the commitment and growth we undergo throughout the course, which not only strengthens our own leadership but also enhances the experience of every Scout we serve.

This ceremony will be even more meaningful, as your fellow Scout, Kenathius Finch II, will be receiving his First-Class rank during the Court of Honor. It’s a day of celebration for both personal and family milestones in the world of Scouting, and I would love to share it with all of you.
